In 1996 Ovation turned 30 years old. There was a special line built to commemorate the milestone which included not only the 6 string, but a 12 string, mandolin, mandocello, longneck, and a Viper. All were adorned with the same bling. The guitar was featured on the cover of Walter Carter’s “The History of the Ovation Guitar” and since then has been referred to commonly as, “The Book Elite”.
This particular guitar originally belonged to the then president of Ovation, Bill Kaman.
Not only is this guitar one of the best looking Ovations ever, it’s also one of the best sounding!
